We'd been looking at various options regarding cost & quality for a few months; but it was Nick who offered the options which fully suited our requirements. These included the painting walls and ceilings, upgrading the cabinet doors in the Utility Room, replacing the carpet and skirting boards with wooden flooring, installing new Ovens, hob, extractor fan & dishwasher, plastering and electrical work, fitting Corian worktops, along with ripping out and disposing of the previous kitchen.
 

Nick listened and fully understood our requirements and recommended a Kitchen manufactured in Germany by Rotpunkt-Kuchens. Nick is very easy to work with & presents himself in a professional manner, he is well organised and leaves the site clean and tidy each evening.

We found Nick after a search of around 9 months for a kitchen designer / installer. He initially helped us to finalise the design, and put our mind at ease with his knowledge of what would and would not work.

The works started and finished on time and to budget. If you are in any way unsure about using Nicholas Martin Kitchens....ask Nick for my number!!! We have been thoroughly delighted with our large project. Our initial enquiry was regarding a kitchen, however we were so impressed with Nick, his professional approach, knowledge and invested time, we agreed to go ahead with the whole renovation project.

Right from the off we had issues with our architect, which Nick resolved and on starting the project we had major structural setbacks. The only constant was our confidence in Nick and Franks ability to undertake our project to such exacting standards, which they constantly delivered. We had to have the entire property stripped back to outer shell and rebuilt, which Nick and Frank persevered with and the end result is amazing. Don't doubt using Nick - highly recommended.

I contacted Nick via Yell.com as I was keen to have a high quality German kitchen fitted in my new single storey extension. Nick impressed me with his knowledge of the product, his direct and approachable style but most importantly his commitment to the kitchen fitting. As he is a joiner by trade, this meant he offered a very personal service, from designing through to high quality fitting. This enabled him to offer excellent value for money on a high-end product. I am delighted with the look and the design of my kitchen and wouldn't hesitate to recommend a Rotpunkt kitchen and the professional service offered by Nick.

This is the third project that Nick and his father Frank have done for us. We previously had a complete kitchen re-fit starting with the ceiling down and walls back to brickwork before the full rebuild including oak flooring.
Later we also had the front room flooring done to match.
 

Most recently we have upgraded our (poorly built) utility room to compliment the kitchen design.
As usual Nick initially met with us to get a basic idea what we wanted before coming up with his clear plan and costings before work commences. All work is to the latest regulations and he never fails to deliver and always takes on board any changes or ideas we have to come to a satisfactory conclusion.
 

He never starts any work without full agreement. He is always prompt and keeps us informed immediately if there is a change to his schedule. 
 

To sum up, he runs a highly skilled, friendly and professional team where attention to detail is their mantra and I would willingly recommend him to anyone who wants a job doing well.

From a recommendation, Nick visited us earlier this year and helped us plan our new kitchen. He was interested in how we used the space and going forward how we wanted to use it. He was very patient in this initial stage, making suggestions, guiding us through the process and spent a lot of time ensuring we'd thought everything through.

On a practical level, he kept us going the majority of the time with a sink and washing machine, made sure we know everyday where he'd got to and start times for next day, even kept the dog amused!! It's been a real pleasure having Nick design and build our kitchen and I'd happily recommend him.

We had an extensive renovation project and wanted to find a builder with joinery skills, there had been a new build earlier in the year locally and we could see how well this was progressing and decided to contact the contractor on the site. This was Nicholas, he has been excellent, from star to finish! We had a bathroom, shower room, fitted bedroom with dressing room, a study, recessed lighting and a wooden flooring throughout the ground floor! Nick, with his father Frank helped us to plan and complete most of the work, coordinating with other contractors.

This led to a hassle free project of the highest standard! Nick doesn't accept anything less than the highest standards and he is not happy to sign off anything until the customer is 100% content! When you are embarking on an extensive project and you are having contractors in and out of your house you want it to be a comfortable process, You have no worries with this team, not only are they extremely professional and skillful, they are trustworthy and respectful!

They never left at the end of the day without tidying and cleaning up! I would not hesitate to recommend them for any job, particularly joinery and fitted furniture, the quality of workmanship and the products they offer are outstanding!

Frank and Nick Martin have just completed installing a Crown Imperial Kitchen and other building works at our home. Back in April, we suffered a significant kitchen fire and didn't know where to turn to resolve the problems we faced.

We needed a new kitchen, new plastering, new ceiling, new doors, new lighting and new flooring in 3 adjoining rooms. We wearily shopped around ... looking at many of the big kitchen supply shops , whose glossy brochures promised perfection, but our solution was Frank and Nick (father and son team). They're a winning combination of high standards of work, experience, skill and good ideas and common sense. I have found them friendly, entirely reliable, trustworthy true professionals.

Their attention to detail and standard of care and workmanship is second to none. They don't cut corners! They've kept us advised every step of the way - co-coordinating all the necessary works without any fuss. They turned up on time, taken absolute care when working in our home and have shown us nothing but respect. Frank always listened patiently and with the benefit of his experience has worked with us to achieve just what we wanted.

Nothing has been too much trouble ... they have made changes along the way to satisfy our whims. For example, Frank and Nick painstakingly modified a kitchen unit as we felt it was too close to the kitchen sink. Frank and Nick did this with great care making sure that the finished cabinet is in perfect symmetry with the rest of the kitchen. They also took great care and skill in making sure that all the areas of conjoined laminate floor looks right and is carefully aligned. Overall, Frank and Nick really care about customer satisfaction and take obvious pride in their work managing to implement practical solutions to keep us happy and on budget.

The result …. .they’ve delivered a fantastic job on time and on budget. In short, I'm thrilled with my kitchen and other building work. Frank and Nick have turned our nightmare into a dream come true and I would not hesitate to recommend them. Thank you Frank and Nick.

We have just completed a new build project in Sheffield S17 within which Nicholas Martin played a critical role. I am an Architect by profession and hence attention to detail is something that I had been looking for from the outset.

During the heavy construction stage carpentry was the main concentration with the team putting in entire new floors, roofs, stud partitions and framework. They worked along side the main builders co-coordinating all the work where there was an interface with their own to ensure progress was as planned.
 

Towards the later stages the quality of the workmanship that Nicholas Martin put in really started to show. It was clear at this point that they had really carefully planned and prepared early works to ensure that the finish at the end was what we were looking for...if not even better.
 

Nick and Frank a father and son team clearly have a wealth of experience and a great blend of innovation and traditional values. They work extremely hard taking great care in what they do to explain matters along the way. i was really impressed by they way that over the course of the project they effectively became our eyes and ears and very quickly got on our wavelength such that when questions arose they came forward with suggestions that were what my wife and i would have suggested as well. They were always keen to ensure we were 100% happy before proceeding. 
 

Once inside the finished house now the workmanship is something that we are very proud of but also that visitors always comment on...the doors (complete with all the ironmongery) skirtings and architraves whilst some may consider small items in a build make a huge impact and because they have all been installed so superbly well it brings that extra feeling of quality to the property.
 

Nick and Frank have also fitted sliding wardrobes in 2 of the bedrooms and again to a very high standard.
Not in any way to decry the above though it has to be said that the absolute show stopper is the kitchen. Nick has fitted a Rot Punkt German kitchen that is of a quality that i have not seen before. It has exceptional design touches as well - these 2 things combined provide a wow factor and that is without fail the reaction of friends, relatives and visitors alike. It is of a contemporary look with a full height bank of units at one end, housing built in ovens, microwaves, coffee machine and wine chiller...a large granite top central island inclusive of induction hob and concealed ceiling mounted extraction within purpose built ceiling downstand. The island features handle - less drawers and doors under and a part full height bank at the other end housing integral fridge and freezer, further granite work top with built in sink etc.
 

Nick spent so much of his own time going the extra mile to ensure that we were aware of all the available products and how it would all work. He made design suggestions along the way but without any pressure if they weren't quite what we wanted. He kept us fully informed of the delivery schedule of the units from Germany and of course being German they were on time as expected. The kitchen was installed expertly with total coordination to plastering, plumbing and electric trades. What seems to be the point of detail that impresses most on lookers is that the finished kitchen has a seamless look. That in the main is because Nick and Frank spent time thinking about this in the early stages and framing/lining out in timber/plasterboard such that when the units were installed they achieved a flush look. It really is a dream kitchen designed and built in full by Nicholas Martin. 
 

We like everyone else were working to a budget so compliance with that was critical and we achieved the look we were after withing our financial goal. Nick was very helpful in making sure what we did spend went in the correct areas where quality really matters.
 

One final point I would like to make about all the aspects of work undertaken by Nick and Frank is that whatever they did, whatever stage of the build project it was at, they always did so in a clean and tidy manner and took extra effort to ensure that the project was left at the end of every day in a professional manner the like you would expect if you did the work yourself in your own house. 
 

They are totally trustworthy very honest individuals who in my professional capacity but also in a personal sense i would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending them.
